Happy Earth Day! Let’s take a moment to appreciate how awesome our world actually is. Our world has movie theaters, Dunkin’ Donuts, xBox’s, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Disney World. It also has people, trees, squirrels, and jellyfish. That’s just a few of the things that make our world so awesome. Let’s appreciate our resources too- that glass of water didn’t appear out of nowhere.
We also gotta be careful. We dump our trash in waterways, choking fish, and poisoning people, bunnies, and baby deer alike.
We emit too much CO2, and the trees aren’t eating it up like we expected (the trees have gone on strike).
We gotta make this world a better place for our children. Right now, the living Earth as we know it is being suffocated and poisoned and covered in trash. Not good.
And now that we’ve taken that moment, now we’ll take action! I know you’ve seen the bumper sticker. Carpool, or bike, and you’ll save money and lungs (yay!). Save water, and remember to turn off those lights.
You’ve learned this stuff in kindergarten, humans! Now let’s get to it!
This is our post for Earth Day last year:
It’s an amazing world of science…let’s go exploring!
